Morris Mohawk Gaming Group and Bodog Sponsor CMRC National Ice Racing Event

February 11, 2008

Kahnawake, QC - The Morris Mohawk Gaming Group and Bodog have teamed up once again to co-sponsor one of the most anticipated Canadian Motosport Racing Club (CMRC) national ice racing events of the year. Held on Feb. 16 at the Kahnawake Marina, just outside Montreal, QC, 80 - 100 amateur and professional ice racers with motorcycles and four wheelers of all shapes, sizes and CCs will do battle on the frozen surface of Lac St. Louis.

The day's racing kicks off at 1 p.m. EST as the VTT Pro 450 S-Pro racers take to the ice and ends with the 4-Cylinder Open and Outlaw Class finals around 6 p.m. EST. Last year's event drew over 1,000 spectators from Kahnawake, Montreal and surrounding areas, and organizers are expecting this year's races to be even bigger and better than before, with 2,200+ spectators expected to attend the day's events. Admission for Kahnawake residents and kids under 12 is free and all non-residents $10. Along with an action-packed day of races and fun for the entire family, the local U-16 North American Indigenous Games girls soccer team, team Eastern Door, will be out in force, selling 50/50 tickets, collecting admission fees and preparing and selling food at the concession stand. All proceeds from admission and 50/50 tickets as well as concession sales will go to help the girls soccer team pay travel expenses.

"I've said from the get-go that one of the biggest motivators for signing the licensing deal with Bodog and setting the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group up in Kahnawake was to help support the local community and its economy as much as possible," says Morris Mohawk Gaming Group CEO Alwyn Morris. "This is just the first of many events the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group and Bodog plan to sponsor in and around Kahnawake, and we're happy to be a part of the community's growth and development."

Montreal and its surrounding areas are renowned for having some of the best ice racing in the world and the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group and Bodog sponsored CMRC National Ice Racing event in Kahnawake is guaranteed to please fans of the sport and make converts of those that aren't.
